Hemophilia

Hemophilia and other blood disorders can be lifelong conditions. At the MUSC Children’s Health Hemophilia Clinic, our board-certified pediatric hematologists manage your child’s disease with the goal of achieving the best possible outcomes. We work closely with other pediatric services including physical therapy, dentistry, orthopaedics, genetics and social services to provide diagnosis, treatment, education and counseling in this multidisciplinary clinic, which is held four times a year.

Our nurses have specialized expertise in managing hemophilia and bleeding disorders, including proficiency in central lines, infusion and other procedures. Together we offer unsurpassed care for your child in a family-centered environment. We also participate in ongoing research and clinical trials to develop the latest advancements in techniques and treatment protocols.
