Foster Care Support Clinic Annual Conference 2026

Support Children and Families.

Last year’s Community Resource Tables were a highlight of the conference, with foster parents, guardians ad litem, and DSS caseworkers sharing how valuable the information and connections were.

We invite your organization to host a table at the 2026 Foster Care Support Clinic Annual Conference. Approximately 200 attendees are expected, and tables will be featured during the lunch hour on May 1, 2026.

We will provide a table (and tablecloth if needed). Please bring one to two representatives and any informational materials or promotional items you’d like to share.

Annual Conference | May 2026

The MUSC Children’s Health Foster Care Support Clinic Annual Conference brings together caregivers, healthcare professionals, social workers, educators, and community partners dedicated to improving outcomes for children and youth impacted by foster care.

Hosted by the Foster Care Support Clinic at MUSC Children’s Health, this annual event focuses on advancing trauma-informed, evidence-based, and coordinated care for one of our most vulnerable populations. Through expert-led sessions, collaborative discussion, and practical tools, attendees gain insights that strengthen both clinical practice and everyday caregiving.

The Foster Care Support Clinic serves as a medical home for children involved with the South Carolina Department of Social Services, as well as those in kinship or adoptive placements. The conference reflects the clinic’s mission — to ensure children in foster care receive comprehensive, compassionate care that supports their physical health, behavioral health, and long-term well-being.

Whether you are a foster or adoptive parent, case manager, therapist, pediatric provider, educator, or community advocate, this conference provides an opportunity to:

  • Deepen understanding of trauma-informed care
  • Learn best practices in medical and behavioral health coordination
  • Connect with professionals and caregivers across South Carolina
  • Strengthen the support network surrounding children in foster care
