Youth Behavioral Health ECHO

The MUSC Boeing Center for Children's Wellness (BCCW) and the Youth Access to Psychiatry Program (YAP-P) are collaborating on the launch of a Youth Behavioral Health ECHO beginning in the Winter of 2024.

ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) is a collaborative medical education and care management model that empowers clinicians to provide better care to more people: right where they live. An ECHO creates ongoing learning communities where community-based providers receive support and develop the skills they need to treat pediatric populations.

  • Resources and use of the MTSS Framework
  • Understanding common language of school supports for students
  • Overview of common mental health disorders in children and adolescents
  • Medication management for mental health disorders in children

  • The epidemiology and effects of trauma
  • Non-pharmacological interventions for trauma and related disorders
  • Concerns related to technology and it's impact on youth
  • Evidence-based practices related to threats and the assessment of threats in schools

  • Community behavioral health supports based in schools

ECHO Help Center for Participants

  • The Medical University of South Carolina is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
  • Participants receiving CME or CEU credits must create a portal account
  • Following each session, participants must self-record their attendance on their account. Visit this link for further assistance.

  • You can check your CMEs anytime by logging into your CME profile and click on the blue “sign in” box
  • The CME office does not send certificates for each individual activity. You can request 1 free official credit letter and summary per year here
  • It is $25 dollars each additional request
  • It is recommended that you keep track in your CME Profile and then request the letter when you are looking to renew your license
